SPECIAL LAYERED POLYCARBONATE SHEETS
PolyShade – High Shading Properties, sheets thicknesses available: 6, 8, 10, 16 mm
PolyShade Selective Layer
The PolyShade layer of polycarbonate structured sheets produces a special metallic shading effect. A perfect solution for hot climate areas. The PolyShade coating contains a special pigment that adds metallic lustre to the surface and provides an optimal level of solar radiation reflection to prevent overheating of a room. The PolyShade-coated sheets are manufactured with different colors: silver, metallic blue and metallic green; and of different thickness, ranging from 8 to 16 mm.
Innovative new technology uses aluminium powder to reflect away the entire solar spectrum range.
- Effectively blocks solar heat
- Extra-high Shading Coefficient, superior to other aluminium-coated sheets.
- Silver metallic surface doesn’t distort interior colors, yet conceals dust
- Excellent shading coefficient
- Highly attractive metallic surface – only product of its kind which is suitable for hot climates
- Rigid sheet structure provides extra strength under wind and snow loads. To see sheet performance under loads, go to “Support / Wind Load Charts”.
- Recommended Uses: Transportation stations, coverings for open markets, parking enclosures, airports, internal partitions, exhibitions and displays.
Polygal PolyShade Sheets feature a UV protective layer to protect against yellowing, and are covered by a 10 Year Warranty against breakage and yellowing (6 mm and higher).

Rainbow – Decorative Layer, sheets thickness available: 8 mm
Rainbow
Harmony in nature can be found in unique combinations of opposites – heat and cold, birth and death, cruelty and gentleness, sunshine and rain, and many more; almost everything has two contrasting sides. This is an integral part of nature, and it is exactly this beauty of nature that Polygal is able to offer you with its new product – Rainbow. Special optical affects in Polygal’s Rainbow sheets combine with the angle of the light to change the sheet color (e.g. from red to green), thus the Rainbow sheets by Polygal present a unique harmony that is both dynamic and varied.
Available in 8 mm thick sheets, Rainbow by Polygal is flexible, heat resistant, easy to install, and can be used for a variety of installations such as: bus stops and train stations, shopping malls, screens and partitions, roofing, stage design, display areas, exhibitions and many more.

POLYGAL GLAZING SYSTEMS AND ACCESSORIES
Polygal offers its own proprietary Aluminium and Polycarbonate Glazing Systems to ensure perfectly sealed, attractive surfaces in constructions using Polygal structured sheets.
Polycarbonate Connecting Profiles
Polygal’s interconnecting Polycarbonate profiles connect sheets and cover structural connections and allow the covering of large areas, especially semi-transparent roofing, without obstructing the incoming light at the connecting points. The profiles do not add structural strength; they are flush with the sheet and can be bent at the minimal radius permitted by the sheet. Profiles are protected from UV damage by a special protective layer over external surfaces.
- Unobstructed light through the sheet connections.
- Excellent sealing properties in roofs and walls inclined over 10%
- Light, flexible, inexpensive and easy to install
- Available in unlimited lengths
- Available in Bronze, Opal, White and Clear colors
6-16 Aluminum Glazing Systems
Polygal’s 6-16 Glazing System is specially designed for use in glazing with 6-16 Polycarbonate structured sheets, in urban applications such as covered walkways, entrance-ways, parking spaces, bus stations and other, similar applications. The 6-16 mm Glazing System has a rabbet depth of 20 mm which enhances its fastening properties and prevents glazing failures due to wind and snow loads or thermal expansion.
The Base Profile (No. 336) fastens the system to the structure and acts as a glazing support for the sheets. The Cap Profile (No. 335) holds the sheets in their place.
The EPDM gasket (No. 504) seals the system completely and reduces thermal expansion noise.Fastening Screws of various length and their sealing washers (No. 441 – 443) fasten the profile cap to the base. The Edge Profiles (No. 311-313, 327) ensure a ventilation gap, and drainage holes should be drilled

6-35 Aluminum Glazing System
Polygal’s 6-35 Glazing System is a large-span clamping system specially developed for glazing applications using 6-35 mm thick Polycarbonate structured sheets. Sheets are mounted on the system’s load-bearing elements during construction of transparent and semi-transparent roofing.
The system’s large rabbet depth (30 mm overlap) makes sheet fastening easier, and prevents glazing failures due to wind and snow loads or thermal expansion.
For humidity conditions, the Base Profile (No. 307) is designed with drainage channels to collect condensation droplets from the interior surface of the Polycarbonate sheets. Profile No. 310 provides support against the purlin, perpendicular to the direction of the sheet ribs, and channels the condensation droplets towards the rafters and the lower channels of Profile No. 307. To Ensure the dropper flow of the droplets from Profile No. 310 to Profile No. 307, two 90º cuts should be made. Profile No. 308 is designed to cover the screw attachment area and is easily installed using a rubber mallet. The Edge Profile (No. 311 – 314) provides a ventilation gap. Drainage holes should be drilled.
